WHAT GUESTS ARE SAYING
Loved this place. Recently visited for a 3 day weekend trip with my wife and we had a great time. We stayed on an "island" site. It was really quiet and relaxing. We hiked the area which has access from the campground. If your looking for a quiet relaxing camping trip without the extras this is the place Highly recommend.
This is a beautiful rustic mountain campground. The views from the Creekside sites are what vacation dreams are made of. The wooded sites are somewhat close together but somehow still give the feel of being deep in the woods. The new owner Louis is doing his very best to upgrade this campground whose previous owner let things go quite a bit. Louis is working hard every day improving and beautifying the grounds. The General Manager Kate could give a seminar on Customer Service she was bright, knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. I hope for the best for them in bringing this campground back from some unfortunate neglect.
I've camped across the country and this one of the most beautiful campgrounds I've been to. Sites are also remarkably roomy and private, particularly those on the islands. I've been to 'parking lot' camp grounds before and this is definitely not one of them. The fishing can be remarkable, but what I find the most fascinating about this place is the wild edibles...they're everywhere. Plus, come July, there is no better place on earth to go mushroom hunting, with bolete's as big as your head. If you know what you're doing, you could practically 'eat off the land'. Also, the hike to the waterfalls is a subtle pleasure that other campgrounds just do not have. I suppose this place isn't for everyone, which is fine by me...

My family has been staying at Covered Bridge annually for the past 6 years. We have 2 kids, 10 and 12, and this is the perfect place for us. We stay in the secluded campsites because it really feels like you're in the Great North Woods of Maine. You don't hear cars or other people. All you see is the amazing forest, and hear the rush of the stream. It's truly fantastic. The two hiking trails are great for kids (waterfall, and riverside trails). The stream isn't deep or too powerful so it's great for kids. It also holds brown and brook trout that are a blast to catch on a small fly rod
